Library Resources for ALL

This November I wanted to focus on the wide variety of resources the CWC Library has to offer. The Library welcomes all CWC faculty, staff, students, and our community members to use our items for classes, research needs, or personal use.

RISE Librarian

We have a new Part Time person in the Library, Jessica O'Rourke! Jess is our new Reference, Instruction, and Student Engagement (RISE) Librarian. She began on Oct. 22nd and this semester Jess is working evenings. Students can work with Jess on their writing or research projects.

Jess has a Masters in Public History and will begin her MLIS (Master in Library Information Science) this coming spring, so please feel confident with her helping your students.

With Jess working until 6:30 Tues. - Thurs. hours in the Writing Center have been expanded - Please encourage your students to sign up for an appointment. [Jess' Availability]

Library of Things

The CWC Library is excited to announce our Library of Things—a hands-on collection designed to spark learning, creativity, and fun! Patrons can check out items like disc golf equipment, biochemistry student sets, calculators, lightboxes, anatomy models, ring lights, and more.

Plus, don’t miss our new VR headsets, offering immersive educational and recreational experiences right here in the library. Stop by to explore, experiment, and experience something new today!

Credo Reference is an easy to use tool for research projects and homework. A giant online collection that searches hundreds of encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri, quotations and subject specific titles as well as 200,000+ images and audio files and nearly 100 videos.

More than 45,000 academic streaming videos providing thousands of high-quality educational films, documentaries, and news footage from various producers.

Explore Films on Demand

A reminder: It is important for our calculations and ROI reports that our usage is calculated correctly. We need your help to provide the correct information. To do this please provide the database link, or permalink, to your students and not a PDF of the item you want them to read. By doing this all usage will be calculated so that we have the essential data needed to keep all of our databases that you love.
